


Also confirmed were the Guild02 downloadable eShop titles from Level-5, The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Seaons for 3DS Virtual Console, and the spiffy white Animal Crossing: New Leaf 3DS XL bundle priced at $219.99. Other surprises contained in this Direct was the unveiling of Bravely Default Flying Fairy for North America in 2014, published by Nintendo. All new dungeons and a brand new story were mentioned, but the word sequel wasn’t really used which I imagine is intentional. The video shown gave emphasis to using the 3D function of the system for various multi-level transitions, with new abilities shown for Link to navigate dungeons. While everyone was sort of expecting The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to be ported to the 3DS, Reggie swerved us all with news that a new Zelda game was being developed set in the Link to the Past world for 3DS, and it would release this holiday. Reggie Fils-Aime closed out the show with what I’d consider the most surprising announcement. I don’t believe there was any indication of whether it would be this year or next, but we’ll double check that once some official press info releases here soon.
